Established in 1988, the Orna Geles Studio is the oldest and most professional school for dance and movement in the Gedera region. Although the school has hundreds of students, it maintains a warm, family atmosphere that emphasizes personal attention.

The studio serves children, youth and adults with a wide range of classes and disciplines: dance and movement for early childhood, classical ballet, modern dance, jazz, hip-hop,improvisation & composition.

Courses are offered according to age and level. The first four years of study in the studio instill the fundamentals of the world of dance through a curriculum tailored to the age of the students. Groups of children in kindergarten and first grade are exposed to the world of dance and movement through experiential lessons which take place once a week. Second and third graders advance to a broad educational program that integrates classical ballet and modern dance in two sessions each week. For children in fourth grade and above, the curriculum is more flexible and open. Beginning at this stage, the students can also choose jazz.

Our teaching team is experienced and professional. Most of our instructors have performed with well-known Israeli and international dance troupes. Periodically, the studio hosts guest instructors and choreographers in order to enrich and expand our students’ knowledge and ability.

The studio is home to a number of performing groups:   HaAtudah (performers-in-training), Guf Sheni (young performers) and Guf Rishon (young adult performers). These troupes appear at cultural and holiday events, ceremonies and assemblies, and participate in festivals and competitions in Israel and around the world.
